India Garden Restaurant in Bloomington, IN, has been delivering authentic Indian cuisine since 2013. Our Story

India Garden Restaurant opened in Bloomington, IN, in 2013 after owner Rakesh Kumar moved here from Indianapolis to raise his family in a smaller town. He started the Indian restaurant and grocery store because he wanted to bring authentic Indian cuisine to his new home and the lovely people who make up the community. He felt this was the perfect way to incorporate his culture into the new life he and his family are building in Bloomington.

We specialize in fresh, high quality Indian food made with organic spices, as well as other delicacies like Indian beverages, cookies and desserts, snacks, pickles, statues, and more. We are also a grocery store stocked with frozen foods, ready-made food, and a lunch buffet. We make only the best quality food in order to promote good health and prosperity for our customers.

The food available in our grocery store includes rice, beans, lentils, candy, and various frozen foods. In addition to our food services, India Garden Restaurant also sells disposable, FDA-certified vapes, glass pipes, hookahs, incense, and other smoking accessories.

We provide catering services to our customers hosting events like weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, and more. You can rely on us to liven up your event with our fresh, high quality, and authentic Indian food. Food was good. Went here near/after midnight on two occasions, and the main worker there was nice and accommodated us, even though we were the only customers. For appetizers, we got samosa, chicken pakora, veg pakora, and seesh kebab (lamb). Seesh kebab was a must have. Samosa and veg pakora are both definitely recommended as well. I got the Tandoori Chicken the first time and lamb curry with naan the second time, both at spice level 4. Both dishes were well made and had a kick as well. The lamb curry had a strong tomato flavor, but was good and went well with the naan. Prices were average for an Indian restaurant, generally between $10-20.
